Language Immersion

​ Quick facts:
  • Minnetonka has the state’s premier Language Immersion program--offering Chinese or Spanish Immersion at every school in the District (K-12).
  • Students must begin immersion in Kindergarten or demonstrate native-like proficiency for their age.
  • Chinese is offered at Excelsior Elementary, Scenic Heights Elementary, both middle schools and Minnetonka High School.
  • Spanish is offered at Clear Springs, Deephaven, Groveland and Minnewashta Elementary, both middle schools and Minnetonka High School.
