The Early College High School (ECHS) Program offers scholars the opportunity to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and an associate degree—all for free. ECHS is hosted through a partnership with Austin Community College (ACC) and operates at seven AISD Early College High Schools: Akins, Crockett, Eastside Memorial, Navarro, LBJ, Travis and Northeast.
In addition to earning college credit—up to 60 hours—and preparing for future professions, students save thousands of dollars in college costs. ECHS students are enrolled in both high school and college classes and receive support from AISD and ACC staff to ensure that they are on the right track to a successful college career. The ECHS Program accepts in-district and out-of-district student transfers.
Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) offers career pathways in computer technology, real estate, education, construction, cyber security, hospitality, or healthcare right out of high school. Earn a two-year Applied Associate of Science (AAS) degree along with your high school diploma at no cost to you. You will be mentored from start to finish, have real-life work experiences, and be first in line for job opportunities upon program completion.
