Cell Phone Policy

Spokane Public School logo

Based on feedback from students, staff and families, Spokane Public Schools is adopting a new cell phone policy and procedure. The School Board will finalize language for the policy and procedure before the start of 2024-25 school year.

Once approved, all SPS schools will be cell phone-free during classroom time, with policies and procedures varying for elementary, middle and high school students. The updated policy will be available to families on our website once the new policy language is approved by the SPS board.

While language is still being finalized for the policy, you can view draft language that was discussed at previous board meetings through BoardDocs. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments by completing the form below.

Our goal is to respond within two working days. Messages received outside of working hours, on weekends, and on holidays will not be reviewed until 8 a.m. on the following working day. We appreciate your patience as we respond to messages in the order they are received.
