The Homeless Education And Resource Team (HEART) is Spokane Public Schools' program for implementing the federal McKinney-Vento Education Assistance Act and the state Homeless Student Stability and Opportunity Grant Act.

The HEART program provides support for children and youth who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence. Our goal is to support and meet the educational needs of identified students, so they have the same opportunity for academic consistency and success as all students.

If your student(s) are experiencing a loss of housing or are already a part of the HEART Program and need assistance, please complete the form below. A member of the HEART team will reach out as soon as possible.

Our goal is to respond within two working days during the school year and within five working days during school breaks. Messages received outside of working hours, on weekends, or during holiday breaks will not be reviewed until 8 a.m. on the following working day. We appreciate your patience as we respond to messages in the order they are received.
